          Assassination Classroom aired in 2015.The story is about an exceptionally powerful octopus-like creature who decides to attend a middle school as a homeroom teacher.

          He is named Koro-sensei, as in the Japanese word for kill by his students.The students are given the task of assassinating him within a year, to prevent him from destroying earth.However, his class, 3-E, is considered a failure by the rest of the school because the students are bad in their academics.Yet, he willingly teaches these students and makes them excel in everything.

            Even among the students, few characters are highlighted like; Nagisa Shiota, who, though being a boy, is treated like a girl by his mother and Karma Akabane, the smartest student in his class but can be very violent. Every character is given a short backstory which explains their current behavior and uniqueness.Two extra teachers are also introduced in the anime.

          There are a few concepts which are badly explained, but the entertaining sequence is enough to back it up.The characters are excellent and the main plot is thrilling. It is an engrossing anime which can make one cry; and then laugh. The animation quality is simple with no complicated designs, which makes them different. The anime was such a hit, that it even got a live action adaption.

Your Name

                Your Name is a romantic-fantasy-drama animated movie, by Makoto Shinkai. The story revolves around two young teenagers, Taki Tachibana and Mitsuha Miyamizu. Taki is a boy living in Tokyo, while Mitsuha is a girl living in a small town. She hates her life there and wants a city life too.

                Soon, both of them start to get weird dreams and soon realize that they are switching bodies. They leave notes, messages and rules on their smartphones or notebooks to protect each others lifestyles.But this phenomenon has a deeper reason and hundreds of lives may depend on it.

  

               The movie was an instant hit, and is still one of the most highly rated anime. The animation quality excellent and the background scenes are breathtaking. The music is brilliant with accurate timing. The story is perfectly crafted with unexpected plot twists.

           A Silent Voice, also translated as The Shape of Voice, is a film produced by the Kyoto Animation. The story is about a boy named Ishida Shouya, who bullied a deaf girl called Nishimiya Shoko,in grade school and she was forced to transfer school because of it.After that, he was also bullied by his friends and was pushed out of the group.He could not forgive himself for his actions and hated himself for it.Now, Shouya is in high school and has anxiety. He regrets being a bully as a kid and as a redemption, is now learning sign language.

            He meets Shoko again at a sign learning class and wants to be friends because he feels ashamed of his previous behavior towards her. 

         The basic plot is about Shouya's guilt for bullying Shoko and difficulties faced by Shoko in the world.The characters are amazing and the plot is a perfect reflection of the different types of problems faced by not only teenagers, but also adults. There are many powerful emotions which are beautifully reflected.

           The animation is flawless and the music is accurately timed. The entire movie is brilliantly constructed.It is very difficult to find flaws in this masterpiece.

Seraph of the End

              Seraph of the End is an action-supernatural genera based anime.Its story takes place in a world where a human-made virus spreads across the globe killing everyone older than 13 years. Unaffected from the virus, the vampires take away the alive children as their remaining livestock. Yuichiro, and his friends from the orphanage are enslaved by the vampires along with plenty other kids. At the age of  12, Yu with his friend Mika, plan on escaping the vampires with their family.But their plan fails, and Yu ends up escaping alone at the cost of his friends' lives. 

             Yu gets recruited by the Moon Demon Company, and swears to kill all the vampires as revenge for his family. At the same time, Mika is alive and is looking for his only family, Yu.

       

         The plot is well constructed and the premise of the story is interesting.Yet, what makes one like the show are the characters. Yu is a stubborn hot-headed boy with a greed for revenge. Shinoa, the leader of Yu's squad, always keeps him in check and teases him for his stupidity. All the characters are fun and their interactions are always amusing to watch.

        The anime had a good start, but the last few episodes are just confusing and the second season ended on a cliffhanger. This shows that the anime was not very popular.

The Promised Neverland

The Promised Neverland

           The Promised Neverland is a manga series which got an anime adaption in 2018.The story is about an 11 year old girl, Emma, who lives at an orphanage called The Grace Field House with 37 more brothers and sisters.Their life is happy and fun, with their Mother the caretaker of the orphanage.Emma is among the three oldest kids there with Norman and Ray.

            One day, during the adoption of a girl, Emma and Norman find out that the orphanage is actually a farm created for feeding the demons that reside in the world, and that the children are actually being bred for the soul purpose of being eaten by the demons.With the help of Ray, they decide to figure out a plan to escape the orphanage before anyone else gets killed.

               The plot is thrilling and gets interesting as the story progresses.The characters are fun and each have a very specific way of doing things.The best part is the protagonist.We are used to seeing  male protagonists with an overly enthusiastic and positive attitude ,with blond or ginger-red head.The same personality is embedded in Emma, a friendly and caring person who will do anything for her friends and family.She has a kind heart speech and relies on Norman and Ray for clever strategies. The other characters are also really well constructed.Norman being the smart and clever speaker, and Ray the practical thinker and strategist of their plan. His backstory is also relieved later.

                 The animation and voice acting is good.The sound track is great especially during the heart stopping scenes.Though the anime is only 12 episodes, a new season is expected soon as the manga has progressed way far.

Hearts Connect

HEARTS CONNECT

             Hearts Connect is an anime based on a light novel, aired in Japan in 2012.The story is about a group of high-schoolers and how they face mysterious phenomenons which bring them closer.
              

              Taichi, Iori, Himeko, Yoshifumi, and Yui are members of the Cultural Research club. One day, they experience swapping bodies with each other at random.The next day, they meet a person Heartseed, who swaps his body with their homeroom teacher. He tells him that he is the one causing these incidents. Later, more occurrences take place, like them acting on their deepest desire,turning years younger than they are,etc.This brings them closer by the end and discloses their inner feelings and pasts.They come to trust each other more, strengthen their bonds and connect their hearts.

 

 

           The characters are interesting with each having a specific personality.The art style is quite good and the idea has potential, but it is not developed.The phenomenon is not explained and some episodes seem too extreme to be real.Though fantasy is a crucial element of the plot, it is not elaborated enough.

            Yet the anime keeps you engrossed with curiosity and the urge to finish it.Some scenes are full of drama and action which will keep you excited.Hopefully, in the expected season two in 2021, the plot is explained more thoroughly.

Sounds of Life

                 

                 Kono oto tomare or Sounds of life is an anime released in the 2019 spring season.The story is about the Tokise high school koto(Japanese musical instrument)club. Takezo Kurata is a second year in that school and also the only member of the koto club after the seniors' graduation.A new first year, Kudo Chika, wishes to join the club but Takezo is reluctant to let Kudo join knowing his reputation of being a delinquent. Later, after Takezo hears Kudo's story, he apologizes and the two form the new koto club.They are later joined by a koto prodigy Satowa Hozuki and a few more members. 

           The characters are exceptional with each having a unique personality.All the scenes are very well drawn and the colors are beautiful.The plot is kind of serious considering their pasts,but the story makes the best out of it.The dialogues are funny in many perspectives, making the anime entertaining.It has a beautiful sound track,especially the opening is so catchy,you just can't skip it!

It is hard to find any faults in this anime, making it my favorite completed anime of the season.

        During the final few episodes, a lot of new characters are introduced.Hopefully in the next season,we get more development and stories of them.
